More About Our Camp
New Location!
Our camp is centrally located in Mission Viejo, at the roomy and air conditioned Chabad Jewish Center. We are situated near playgrounds and activity and sports fields.
The spacious indoor and outdoor facilities will enable us to provide campers with great summer fun and a full program of sports, games, crafts, dramatics and other enriching camp activities.
We are close to the 5 freeway.

Silver Gan Israel is much more than a physical break from the school routine and winter activities. Our summer programs are all built on the SGI hallmarks of fun, safety and unconditional love. It’s comprehensive programs are designed to strengthen the body and soul. We provide your child with a rich and wholesome summer vacation of fun and excitement along with friendship and meaningful educational experiences. They are tailored to be age appropriate and flexible to serve the needs of each child. Children encounter adventures, excitement, and challenges and each year “graduate” to a higher division.
Our daily combination of Sports, Swimming, Crafts, Drama and Trips has children motivated, excited and on-their-toes. To run our specialized programming, CGI employs experienced counselors, coaches, swim instructors, artists and specialists. We also offer a host of extra curricular activities and programs for the entire family.
Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our success. Our experienced counselors are known for their personal warmth and ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever! Their love for the children is surpassed only by the children’s love for them.
Culture
Silver Gan Israel campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting activities, stories, songs, games and contests. Combined with group discussions and educational programs, these events bring a unique perspective to life, the beauty and values of our traditions.
Activities & Special Events
Our weekly program is enhanced with Olympic type games, police and fire demonstrations, drama, ballet, carnivals, dress-up days, overnights, hiking, bunk competition, Shabbos parties, Challah baking, and .. oh... so much more. Under the direction of our experienced crafts director, campers will have the opportunity to design and take home some wonderful Judaic projects.
Trips On The Go
Silver Gan Israel’s “Trip Days”, which are well known, are geared to the children’s interests, are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays and feature excursions to many local attractions across Southern California.
